High potential and gifted education
Some students learn faster and more easily than others. These students may shine in creativity, thinking, leadership or sport.
At our school, we recognise and nurture these strengths early. We support advanced learners with great lessons and activities to help them grow and thrive.
Why choose us for your high potential or gifted child?

Our students can participate in a wide range of state-wide opportunities that aim to extend and enrich student potential.

CAPA - Creative and Performing Arts
The students of Tumbulgum Public School have lit up stages across the region with a series of vibrant and memorable performances. Our talented dance team brought energy, creativity, and teamwork to every event—from the prestigious North Coast Dance Festival at Twin Towns, Tweed Heads, to the lively Talent Show at Murwillumbah Civic Centre—captivating audiences with their passion and flair.
Adding to the excitement, our entire student body united to perform a heartfelt song at the Murwillumbah Festival of Performing Arts, showcasing the strength of our school spirit and the joy of coming together through music.
These performances were more than just entertainment—they were a celebration of confidence, collaboration, and the power of self-expression. We are so proud of our students for sharing their talents and representing Tumbulgum with pride and enthusiasm.
PSSA NSW - Sport
Our relay team proudly represented our region at the NSW PSSA State Athletics Championships in Sydney. Competing against the best primary school athletes from across New South Wales, our team showed incredible determination and teamwork—earning an impressive 4th place overall in the state. We are so proud of their achievement and the way they represented our school with courage and sportsmanship.
Specialist Music classes
Our specialist music program—led by the talented Mr CJ Shaw—invites students into a vibrant world of rhythm, melody, and creative expression. In small, supportive classes, students receive personalised, hands-on instruction that encourages exploration and builds musical confidence.
Through engaging lessons and collaborative activities, students develop their skills while discovering the joy of making music together. Whether composing, performing, or experimenting with sound, every child is empowered to express themselves and grow in a dynamic learning environment.
